How to Update Your PypeServer Dongle License

This guide shows you how to update your PypeServer dongle license using the CodeMeter application.

You will receive a license update file by email from PypeServer Support. The file will look similar, but not exactly like this:


Step 1: Prepare the License File

  1. Copy the license update file to the Shop PypeServer computer (kiosk).

    • If the PypeServer computer is not connected to your network:

      • Save the email attachment to a USB thumb drive.

      • Insert the thumb drive into the PypeServer computer.

      • Drag the file onto the Desktop.

Step 2: Apply the License Update

  1. Close the PypeServer application if it is running.

  2. Open the CodeMeter application on the PypeServer computer.


  1. Apply the license

    • Drag and drop the license update file onto the open CodeMeter window.


  1. Confirm

    • You should see a confirmation message indicating the license was updated successfully.

When restarting the PypeServer Application, verify the new date during startup.
