This guide shows you how to update your PypeServer dongle license using the CodeMeter application.
You will receive a license update file by email from PypeServer Support. The file will look similar, but not exactly like this:
Copy the license update file to the PypeServer computer (kiosk).
If the PypeServer computer is not connected to your network:
Save the email attachment to a USB thumb drive.
Insert the thumb drive into the PypeServer computer.
Drag the file onto the Desktop.
Close the PypeServer application if it is running.
Open the CodeMeter application on the PypeServer computer.
Apply the license
Drag and drop the license update file onto the open CodeMeter window.
Confirm
You should see a confirmation message indicating the license was updated successfully.
Open CodeMeter Control Center
On the PypeServer computer, open CodeMeter Control Center (Windows application).
Start the license update process
Click the License Update button.
Click Next until you reach the "Please select the desired action" screen.
Select Create license request.
Click Next.
Extend your existing license
Select Extend existing license.
Click Next.
Save the license request file
Continue clicking Next until you are prompted to choose a save location.
Important: Choose a location that is easy to find.
Click Commit.
Locate the generated file
A license request file will be created automatically.
Similar, but not exactly like this:
Send the request to PypeServer Support
Attach the license request file to an email.
Send it to:
support@pypeserver.com
PypeServer Support will email you a new license update file.
Repeat Step 2: Apply the License Update to complete the process.
