How To: Create a diagnostics log package

Create a Diagnostics Package for PypeServer Support

While investigating a support request the PypeServer Support team may request that a diagnostics package be created for review. This package is a zip file containing the application logs, Windows event logs, database tables and application specific registry settings.

To create a diagnostics package:
  1. Start PypeServer Enterprise.
  2. Depending on your version of PypeServer, Click on the "About" icon {?} or "System Information" {i} in the upper right, this will open the "About PypeServer" dialog.
  3. Click on the "File Issue" button in the middle of the dialog.
  4. Click the "OK" button in the informational dialog, a browser tab will open to the PypeServer support portal. This tab will not be used and can be closed.
  5. Navigate to your Windows Desktop and locate the new "PypeServer Diagnostics Package" zip file.
  6. Attach this file to your email response and send it to support@pypeserver.com.
