Network Shares
Enterprise uses network file shares hosted on the Kiosk or other system to share files and information among other systems and tools.
All users require read/write access to all folders and files located within the network share \\PypeServer\PypeServer Documents.
This file share hosts the shared files and documents accessed by all Enterprise users.
- \\PypeServer\PypeServer Documents
- Label templates
- Report templates
- Shared documents
All remote users require read access to all folders and files located within the network share \\PypeServer\PypeServer Staging.
The Kiosk user and/or other admin users who install Enterprise updates require read/write access to this share so they can download and save Enterprise package updates.
- \\PypeServer\PypeServer Staging
- Getting Started documentation
- Enterprise package updates
Users who generate or process NC machine files require read/write access to all folders and files located within machine specific shares created during the initial Enterprise setup.
- \\PypeServer\<machine name>
- One or more share names created during configuration for storing NC machine files
Troubleshooting
- Make sure the computers are on the same network. For example, if your computers connect to the Kiosk through a bridge or router, then confirm they all connect through the same router.
- Turn on network discovery and file and printer sharing, and turn off password protected sharing.
- Make sharing services start automatically.
- Press the Windows logo key + R.
- In the Run dialog box, type services.msc, and then select OK.
- Right-click each of the following services, select Properties, if they're not running, select Start, and next to Startup type, select Automatic:
- Function Discovery Provider Host
- Function Discovery Resource Publication
- SSDP Discovery
- UPnP Device Host
